Comprehensive investigation of recycled waste glass in concrete using silane treatment for performance improvement

An in-depth investigation of the incorporation silane-treated and untreated glass waste in concrete is presented this research. Coarse fine aggregates were replaced with 30 wt.-% 50 ratios, while powder was employed as an additive to 2 5 ratios. Physical, mechanical, microstructural surface chemical properties produced samples studied by conducting water absorption test, compressive splitting tensile strength tests, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analyses, respectively. The results showed that combined influence silane coupling agent enhanced impermeability 87% when replacing sand glass. In addition, all modified mixtures a reduction their 28 days’ compared control, except where used additive, which led increase 1%. Moreover, 25%.
